NEW IN: KIKO AND CATRICE NAIL POLISHES

Hey ladies,

I have decided to open a new category, where I will be showing you my "just got/bought" polishes. I think this will be something I will post weekly as well, otherwise I think I will have to post too many double posts per day, and I kind a don't want that. Anyway, my first post to the NEW IN category will be about some spring/summer Kiko polishes and the new Catrice pretties.

Firstly, the Kiko-s. Last weekend was Katja, a Slovenia beauty blogger, in Trieste in Italy and brought me some cute things. I mean, I ordered them, cuz she was so kind to let us (the Slovenian beauty blogger community) know that she was about to visit Kiko there, so we could sent her out "wishlist". As I am a huge sucker for bright and pastel colors, I wanted to add some Kiko polishes to my collection. Here they are.

I got a classic French White, cuz I haven't done a french mani for couple of months I think. The rest are the colours, that will be perfect for spring and summer nail art bases and gradients. I like Kiko polishes, because their formula is really good. I mean, most of them are opaque in one single coat, if not, you only need to add a thin second coat and you are done. As well, they dry quite fast. Anyway, the colours I got are (from left to right): Canary Yellow, Tangerine, Light Peach, Candy Pink, Lilac and Mint Milk.

I am not sure if I have mentioned before, but about two weeks ago (when the new Catrice polishes were introduced to our drugstores) I was quite disappointed with them. I was so excited about the new spring colours and the new brush, that I really expected something special. And then I have opened one bottle, and the brush was the same as the old one. I put the polish back to the shelf, and left the store. But I knew I won't be able to resist. And then yesterday happened. Me walking into the drugstore ended up with a massive Catrice haul. I checked the brushes once again, and they were fine now, so I said: hell yeah! Let's do this! And here is what I got! :)

Apart from the classic Colour Brightening Base Coat I came home with 8 new colours and a classic black, which I use a lot for my glitter swatches. I think it is the best base for most of the glitters I have. I was a bit sceptical about the Luxury Nudes Edition, but they look really and surprisingly well. The colours on the picture above are (from left to right) Brightening Base Coat, Fresh Love Affair, My Yellow Fellow, Blurred Limes, Peach Club.

And here is the second part of my haul: A Gallon of Melon, Lilac Satinfaction, (S)wimbledon, Can You SEA Me?, Black To The Routes. I am so happy with my yesterdays haul. I have to swatch these babies on a swatch wheel to show them to you, cuz they are really stunning. You know, keeping in mind they are very low budget polishes, their quality is perfect.

So, these are my new pretties! :D Feel free to show me yours <3

  2. I have never tried Kiko polishes before because they're not available in my country and I don't like ordering polishes without seeing them in person, but I'd like to try them soooo bad!
I used to buy and use a lot of Catrice lacquers because I loved the shape of the brush and the formula, but since they renewed them I hate them. :(

    1. Kiko polishes are not available here either, but I got them from Italy. One of our bloggers got them for me :) But I ordered some of them already online, and I was super happy with all of them.
Regarding Catrice, I totally agree their brush was a pain in the ass, but it is much better now. The formula as well. Most of them are two coaters! You should try the new colors... :)
