Good afternoon girls! :)
Besides my Valentine's Day Challenge post, I am showing you today also my bestie twin nails I did with my Austrian friend Victoria from @vickerl. We have done already some twin nails, but we like to recreate each others manicures, so we continue doing this! :) This time it was Vici's turn to choose the topic, and she chose snowflakes! Very season appropriate, since it was snowing around here the entire weekend. I will take this opportunity to show you also some swatches of the China Glaze - December to Remember nail polish, which I got from Nailland Hungary for a review and I have used it for gradient in this winter manicure! :) Take a look to the details after the jump!
December to Remember - is a medium blue shimmer nail polish. It has an awesome duochrome shimmer, which is visible in shade. The shimmer shifts between gold and pink. The formula is good, although a bit on the sheer side, but easy to work with. It is opaque in three thin coats.

And now moving to the nail art. I started with the Catrice Brightening Base. Then I applied one coat of China Glaze - Dandy Lyin' Around. I applied then one coat of Poshe, to make the base color dry faster. When it was dry, I did a gradient using China Glaze - Dandy Lyin' Around, OPI Can't Find My Czechbook and China Glaze - December to Remember. When I was done, I realized that my gradient turned out lighter than Vici's, but there was no time to redo it. For those of you who are wondering, I did the gradient using a fan brush, and using a sponge. This way my gradients turn out great! Then I applied again a coat of Poshe. I stamped the snowflakes from my OB-M Christmas Plate using Mundo de Unas Blue and Aqua - I actually mixed them! :) In the end I applied another coat of Poshe.

What do you think about this manicure? And that blue shimmer polish? I don't have too much blue shimmers, but this one is definitely among my favourites! And I love its name! <3

ReplyDeleteCould you maybe make a tutorial on how you do your gradient?
I really like the look of it on your nails here and I would like to try it myself.
Sure darling! I can only make a step by step tutorial in pictures, because I am still waiting for my tripod for the camera, so I could make videos as well! :)
DeleteSorry for not replying sooner... but step by step pictures is fine, or I can wait for the video. What you prefer is fine with me :)
