Good morning everyone,
I am very happy to introduce you to something that I will be probably wearing most of the time this summer. And spring! It is the BaronessX - Southland Sunsets Collection! An 8 piece collection of one coater neons (all except Laguna Lime - which needs three thin coats) and two matching glitter toppers that glow in the dark (under UV light). As you probably know, I am a huge sucker for bright neon colors, so these are just wow! This post will be picture heavy so prepare for it, because this nail polish porn will take your breath away! :) I will show you today only the cremes, and the glitter toppers will appear on my blog sometimes at the end of this week.
Laguna Lime - is bright lime green/yellow neon nail polish. It reminds me much of a tennis ball color. :) Don't be surprised if I compare the colors to some sports stuff colors, because I am huge fan of sports! This one is the only polish in the collection that has a bit thinner formula, but it was opaque in three thin coats. This polish is unique in my collection, I don't have any similar lime polishes, not even close actually! :)
Santa Monica Mint - is a bright neon mint green nail polish. This one looks a bit more pastel in the bottle, but once applied on the nail is really bright. I can already see myself wearing it a lot this spring. And it will be perfect for gradients. It needed only one coat to be fully opaque.
Topanga Teal - is a sky blue neon nail polish. I really couldn't say it is teal - like its name. Maybe in some lighting gets a bit greenish, but not so much! This one will go perfectly together with Laguna Lime and Santa Monica Mint into a gradient! A vivid gradient with some awesome flowers! Can't wait to get a bit more free time to do some nail art with them.
Latigo Indigo - is a bright cornflower blue nail polish, but if you ask me, it turns to a lavenderish purple in different lighting. So I can say it is blurpule! :) I think this one is the color of this spring. I saw so many dresses, shirts, scarfs, different accessories... Awesome!
Point Dume Periwinkle - is a bright neon lavender purple nail polish. I am a huge fan of this shade of purple, so this one goes probably to my Top 5 Purples list. So pretty. And the fact that it is opaque in one single coat will extend the life of this mini bottle, because I can see myself wearing it a lot this spring!
Venice Beach Violet - is another bright purple in this collection. It is actually something between pink and purple, but definitely a great color for sunset gradients! Wow, can't wait for the summer to arrive!
Palisades Pink - is a bright neon pink nail polish. This one is also so pretty. I can already imagine the great flower nail art that can be done with this shade of pink. It just screems for summer, right?
Malibu Melon - is a coral/peach pink neon nail polish. Ok, this one is the winner! Certainly my favourite from this collection. Why? Cuz it is so vibrant, so pinkish... so pretty! And this one in combo with the previous two polishes would made a perfect match for gradient!
Of course I had to try some of them for my nail art! :) I thought I could do something that will match my new scarf. Here is the pattern.
So I started with white base, using Catrice - Pearlescent Purpose for base. I applied two thin coats, and then a coat of Poshe. While waiting to dry, I made some butterfly decals using three different MoYou London plates - Mother Nature 01, Mother Nature 10 and Princess 10. I stamped them with Essence Stamp Me! Black. The butterflies are painted with the above mentioned BaronessX - Malibu Melon and Sally Hansen - Peach of Cake. After the decals were done, I stamped a design from Pet'la Plate - Flake No More using Mundo de Unas - Taupe. My Mundo de Unas polishes are from Hypnotic Polish online shop. Then I transfered the decals to my nails. In the end I added some dots with BaronessX - Malibu Melon, and finished the mani with one coat of Poshe.
So, how do you like my new neon babies? :) And my nail art? I think this is one of the best nail arts I have ever done... Probably after the vintage rose mani. Please let me know what do you think, and stay tuned for more nail art with these beauties!
