Good evening out there!
Today I was busy doing some awesome nail art! Angelyn from Doctor Lacquer asked me to do some colorful manis with her polishes from the Kaleidoscope World Collection. You can read my entire review of these pretties here.
I was thinking a lot what kind of nail art should I do. I didn't want it to be a boring manicure with simple stamp, so I went for something a bit more complicated. I haven't done any watermarble nail art for ages, and these neon beauties looked perfect for this kind of art. But, because of the lack of time, I could only do my ring fingers. And the rest of my nails are done using home made stamping decals.
Here is the mani and the process of creating it will be described below.
Soft light
Direct artificial light
Polishes I have used:
1. white - Kleancolor White
2. yellow - Doctor Lacquer Carotene (holo)
3. orange - Doctor Lacquer Lycopene (holo)
4. pink - Doctor Lacquer Annatto (holo)
5. green - Doctor Lacquer Chlorophyll (holo)
6. blue - Doctor Lacquer Phycocyanin (holo)
I started my manicure with making decals. I already had some of these flowers done before, I only needed to paint them. As you can see on the pictures, I managed to put a decal of 4 flowers from my Cheeky Tropical Holiday Stamping Plate on every nail. I painted each of the flowers with different color from my Doctor Lacquer Kaleidoscope Collection. I let the decals dry.
Then the mess came. I hate watermarbling just because it is very messy. I have used room temperature filtered water and all the polishes listed above, except the white, which was used here as a base, so that the color would pop out. And I was very satisfied with my final result, although I had some troubles with spreading of the polishes. But it turned out almost perfect (without bubbles - YEAH!) in comparison to what I had expected. I did some fast clean up and applied one coat of Poshe fast drying top coat.
I applied the white base to the rest of my nails as well. Applied the decals using Essence Sealing Top Coat. When the decals where placed, I added some pink dots, because I ran out of flowers, but I wanted there some pink as well. I added another coat of Essence Sealing Top Coat and finished the manicure with Poshe.
Huh, complicated, right? :) But I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I did making this manicure!
