DAY 1 OF THE BIG HOLIDAY NAIL ART CHALLENGE - RED

Once again, good evening!

As I have already mentioned in the previous post, I have prepared some nail art as well. I have decided to follow the days in my own BIG  HOLIDAY NAIL ART CHALLENGE, that is taking part on Instagram. I can not compete, but I would like to contribute a bit to the nail art world.

Today's theme is RED. This topic gives you a lot of option, you just have to use your imagination. As red is one of the Christmas colors, I went with a holiday manicure today. Here it is - check the details about the manicure below the picture!

Soft light

Direct artificial light

Polishes used:

red - China Glaze Just Be-Claws
gold - China Glaze Passion
green - Zoya Holly
topcoat - Poshe

I started my manicure with two thin coats of China Glaze Just Be-Claws. While waiting for it to dry, I made some decals. Check out my tutorial if you want to see the detailed process of making these decals. Stamping plates I have used for the decals are MoYou London Festive Collection 03 and OB-M Christmas Stamping Plate. The ring and the middle finger designs are from the MoYou plate, the other two, from the OB-M plate. I painted the designs with the polishes mentioned above. When the designs were ready and my nails dry, I transfered the decals onto my nails using Essence Sealing Top Coat - this one is so far the only top coat that works perfectly with the home made decals. I added some green dots on the index and pinky fingers, than added some green dots on the gift design and in the end I finished my manicure with one coat of Poshe topcoat.

I hope you will get inspired by my challenge as well - feel free to enter! :) And of course, leave your opinion on this manicure in the comments.
